Court issues arrest warrants for Kangana Ranaut
Mumbai, 1st March: Last month, an Indian court had ordered Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut to appear in the damages case on March 1.
However, the court directed to issue an arrest warrant for Miss Ranaut if she did not appear before the court.
Mumbai court heard an appeal by the famous poet and songwriter Javed Akhtar for damages against actress Kangana Ranaut in which the court has issued an arrest warrant for her on March 22 if Kangana Ranaut fails to appear.
It is to be noted that Javed Akhtar had filed a suit for damages against Kangana Ranaut in which he demanded action against her under the relevant provisions of IPC for defaming him.
Kangana was said to have made baseless and insulting remarks during a TV interview.
The complaint filed by Javed Akhtar said that Kangana Ranaut had dragged Sushant Singh’s name into a drug mafia in Bollywood after his death, which damaged his image.
Javed Akhtar further said that Kangana Ranaut has claimed that Javed Akhtar had threatened her to keep her mouth shut regarding the alleged relationship between Kangana and actor Hrithik Roshan.
All these statements made by actress Kangana Ranaut were watched by millions of people affected the stature of Javed Akhtar.
