Lahore, 28th May: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected a petition filed against the detention of TLP leader Allama Saad Rizvi.

The court said that the detention order is as per normal. Rejecting the remarks, he said that the action of the provincial government against Saad Rizvi was for law and order.

When the government issues a detention order, the jurisdiction of the High Court is limited.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi, son of Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, was arrested on April 12 from Scheme Mor Chowk, Lahore.

Police detained Hafiz Saad Rizvi to stop the April 16 protest because of his involvement with the government. Negotiations had failed and the French ambassador’s deportation movement had refused to back down.

After the arrest of Saad Rizvi, there was a commotion all over the country and the government banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik has filed an appeal against the ban on which the government will make a decision soon.
