Court reserves its verdict against auction of Nawaz Sharif’s seized properties

Lahore, 9th June: An accountability court dismissed pleas against auction of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s seized properties.

According to reports, a court in Islamabad dismissed three petitions on Wednesday against the auction of PML-N’s leader Nawaz Sharif’s seized properties.

Accountability Judge Asghar Ali announced the decision on the three applications presented by Ashraf Malik, Aslam Aziz and Iqbal Barkat seeking to stop the auction of the PML-N president Nawaz Sharif’s seized properties.

Earlier, the court had reserved its verdict after hearing arguments of the prosecutor by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the applicant’s lawyer.

It is to be remembered that last month, PLM-N’s Nawaz Sharif’s agricultural land in Sheikhupura was sold out.

After an accountability court allowed an application by the NAB to auction the attached properties of PML-N supremo Nawaz Shair, his 88.4 Kanals of agricultural land in Ferozwattan was put up for auction.

As per reports, earlier on April 23, Judge Syed Asghar Ali issued orders to the deputy commissioners of Lahore and Sheikhupura to sell Nawaz Sharif’s immovable properties within 60 days period, including House N0.135, Upper Mall, Lahore and 88.4 Kanals of agricultural land.
