The court heard a plea against the re-arrest of PTI leader Sheryar Afridi even after the court granted bail to   Afridi and others.

The court summoned Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Hasan Waqar Cheema and inquired from the public prosecutor what kind of orders the Deputy Commissioner has issued.

The court remarked that Deputy Commissioner is not a representative of the ruling party but is for the service of the people.

The order of re-detention after the suspension of the order falls under the category of contempt of court.

On behalf of Shahryar Afridi and others, their lawyers Sher Afzal Marwat, Sardar Abdul Raziq Khan, and Rizwan Akhtar appeared, and the court adjourned the hearing of the case till tomorrow (Wednesday).
