COVID-19: Active cases crosses 40,000 in Pakistan

Latest statistics released by the National command & Operation Centre show that number of active COVID-19 cases crosses 40,000.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan is 40,406 with 2,636 cases reported on 28th May.

A total of 64,028 cases detected so far:

  • 227 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
  • 3,928 in Balochistan
  • 658 in Gilgit-Baltistan
  • 2,100 in Islamabad 
  • 8,842 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
  • 22,964 in Punjab
  • 25,309 in Sindh

According to latest reports, 22,305 patients have recovered while, 1,317 deaths have occurred with 57 new deaths reported on 28th May.
