Policemen benefiting from Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), fired for unjust actions amid COVID-19 crisis. 

According to reports of Baaghi TV, 117 police officers benefiting from the Benazir Income Support Program, have been retired as per orders of DPO Bannu, Yasir Afridi.

Yasir Afridi, DPO Bannu, has ordered the retirement of the police officials whose families were benefiting from BISP. In addition to this, DPO Bannu Yasser Afridi has said that no one will be allowed to impose on the rights of others.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed the public to name the government officers benefiting from the Benazir Income Support Program and ordered strict action against them. Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that the names of the plunderers should be brought to the forefront. We cannot allow the plundering of the rights of the poor.

Officials from Pakistan’s bureaucracy in Sindh and Balochistan grades 17 to 21 have been receiving benefits under the Benazir Income Support Program.

The inclusion of quarterly officers from grade 17 to 21 has been revealed to be eligible for quarterly benefits through the Benazir Income Support Program. Dozens of people had registered their names. As per reports, a total of 2,543 officers have been removed from the BISP list.

According to this list, most Balochistan and Sindh officers received funds through BISP. Three officers from Grade 21, Grade 20 and 59 received quarterly benefits while 429 officers of Grade 19 were also among those who benefited.

342 Grade 18 officers of Sindh benefited from the Benazir Income Support Program. Six BISP officers also benefited from the scheme. The process of removing unqualified people from the Benazir Income Support Program is in progress.
