LAHORE (28th Sept, 2020): The total number of deaths has risen to 6,466 across Pakistan according to statistics released by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
Corona virus has killed 9 more people, after which the death toll has risen to 6,466. The number of confirmed cases of Corona in Pakistan has reached 310,841.
According to the latest figures from NCOC, 566 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, 99,219 in Punjab, 136,017 in Sindh, 37,701 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 15,092 in Balochistan. 3,681 cases were reported in Baltistan, 16,470 in Islamabad and 2,661 in Azad Kashmir.
There are facilities for corona patients in 735 hospitals in Pakistan and the number of ventilators for corona patients in hospitals is 1,920.
There are 132 testing laboratories operating in the country and trace, test and quarantine strategies are working effectively in several cities. One hundred and fifty-three deaths were reported in June, but the Corona virus graph is reportedly falling sharply.
The first case of corona in Pakistan was registered on February 26th and one thousand deaths occurred by May 21st. The health ministry says the pace of cases has slowed, but caution is still needed.
