COVID-19: Decision regarding winter holidays to be taken soon

Islamabad, 11th November: The pandemic coronavirus has intensified again in Pakistan.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, in view of increasing coronavirus cases in the country, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has convened an inter-provincial education ministers conference on November 16, which is expected to make important decisions regarding schools.

According to details, a meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference will be convened on November 16 at the NCOC.

A letter has been issued to all the members of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference in this regard. The coronavirus situation in educational institutions will be discussed in detail in the meeting.

It may be recalled that a meeting of the National Command and Operations Center chaired by Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar today considered the situation of COVID-19 cases in the country, implementation of SOPs and cases in educational institutions.

It was decided at the NCOC meeting that a high-level meeting would be held on November 16 under the chairmanship of the Education Minister to review the situation of educational institutions. The NCOC also recommended early winter vacations. The recommendation for early holidays is to protect students and prevent further outbreaks.
