The Punjab government has banned celebrations inside wedding halls, Baaghi TV reports.

Weddings and other celebrations will only be allowed in open spaces. A maximum of 300 people will be allowed to gather at the event. The Secretary, Primary and Secondary Health Care, issued the notification with the permission of the Cabinet Committee on Coronavirus Control.

Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Usman said that gathering of more than 300 people in public gatherings would not be allowed. SOPs in open space events, must be implemented. In addition to celebrations, it will be necessary to cover one’s face in public places.

Capt (Retd.) Muhammad Usman said the ban would take effect from today. Which will remain in force till January 31st. The people are requested to support the government of Punjab. Like the first wave of Corona virus, the government and the people will be able to overcome the second wave.

It is to be noted that, latest figures released by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) shows that the number of new cases reported has reached 2,738 while 36 lives have been lost as of November 19th, 2020. Of these, 32 deaths took place in hospitals across the country meanwhile, 4 deaths were reported out of hospital.

The total number of active cases is reported at 33,562 with 42,909 tests conducted in a single day.
