Lahore, 11th April: The number of coronavirus patients is constantly on the rise in Pakistan, and reported deaths have also increased.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, there are 71 deaths reported in the country owing to COVID-19 and the number of infected people has reached 4,747.

 

According to the data received by the National Command Centre, the number of deaths reported from each province is as follow: 25 people have been killed in Sindh, 22 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18 in Punjab, 2 in Balochistan, 3 in Gilgit, and one is reported dead in Islamabad.

There are 2,336 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Punjab province. In addition, 107 cases have been reported in Islamabad, 1,214 in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 656, Balochistan 219, Azad Kashmir 33 and 215 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As per reports, 39 more virus cases emerged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 3 more deaths are reported in the province.

According to data provided by the Chief Minister Punjab, there are 2,336 patients of COVID-19 in Punjab, of which 701 are visitors, 733 are from Tablighi Jamaat, 80 are prisoners and 822 are citizens in the district. Coronavirus has emerged in 30 districts of Punjab, with 373 being the highest in Lahore and the second-highest count is 99 in Gujarat.

A further 86 cases of the virus have been reported in Sindh, after which the number of affected people has reached 1,214. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that in the last 24 hours, 586 more tests took place, out of which 86 were found positive. According to Chief Minister Sindh, until now the number of people in the province has reached 358 and 22 people have died from the disease.

In Gilgit Baltistan, the number of active coronavirus cases has dropped to 87 while the total number of people recovered from the COVID-19 is 125.

As per the statistics, 31,535 tests have been conducted so far across Punjab.

A spokesman for the Primary and Secondary Healthcare has urged the public to take self-protection by taking preventive measures.
