COVID-19: Number of active cases crosses 22,000 in Pakistan

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, total number of active cases is 22,000 plus across Pakistan.

According to reports, the total number of active cases is 22,820 with 1,140 being reported on the 11th of May. So far, 32,081 cases have been detected since the outbreak spread across Pakistan.

  • 4,875 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
  • 2,061 in Balochistan
  • 716 in Islamabad 
  • 457 in Gilgit-Baltistan
  • 86 in Azad Jammu & Kashmir

According to reports, 8,555 patients have recovered while, the number of casualties is 706, with 39 deaths reported in a single day.

  • 200 in Sindh
  • 27 in Balochistan
  • 6 in Islamabad 
  • 4 in Gilgit-Baltistan
  • 1 in Azad Jammu & Kashmir

Reportedly, 281 COVID-19 patients are critical. So far 305,851 tests have been conducted with 10,957 tests conducted on the 11th of May. Currently, 735 hospitals are providing COVID-19 facilities in Pakistan with 6,661 patients admitted across the country.
