COVID-19: Number of patients and casualties on rise in Pakistan

Lahore, 13th April: The number of infected patients is still on the rise worldwide, where the positive coronavirus cases have reached 1,853,619 and the reported deaths have risen to 114,272, however, it may be noticed that 427,806 people have also recovered so far.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Pakistan is showing a surge in the number of the infected people reaching up to 5,374 and the number of reported deaths are 93 so far.

Around 1,095 patients have recovered so far in the country and 44 are in critical condition.

According to reports coming from the Corona National Command Centre, the number of positive coronavirus cases in Punjab is still on the rise, the toll reaching 2,594, following behind is the Sindh province with 1,414 reported cases. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has 744 cases, 230 in Balochistan, 224 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 131 are from Islamabad and 40 cases are reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

COVID-19: Another PIA pilot tests positive

As per the CM Punjab Usman Buzdar, 175 patients have recovered from the quarantine centre in Dera Ghazi Khan, who have been sent home. He informed that 755 people in the D G Khan quarantine centre had been discharged before on testing negative and out of 829 Zaireen, who was initially brought at the Dera Ghazi Khan quarantine centre only 74 Zaireen are left.

As per sources, many cases from Lahore have been reported due to which 10 areas are totally sealed. The police are taking action on the movement of people around the city. According to Deputy Commissioner Lahore, 574 cases have been reported from these areas of Lahore, raising the alarm and the citizens are forbidden to leave their houses.
