Covid-19: Over 57,000 tests and 8 deaths across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Eight more people have died in Pakistan from the global Covid-19, in the last 24 hours with more than 57,000 tests conducted. 

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 57,669 corona tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours and another 5,472 corona cases were confirmed. According to the NCOC, in the last 24 hours, the total number of corona cases in the country has risen to 1,338,993 while the total number of deaths has risen to 29,037 and the positive case rate has been 9.48 percent.

The number of Covid-19 cases in Sindh is 509,308, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 182,619, in Punjab 455,499, in Islamabad 112,557, in Balochistan 34,744, in Azad Kashmir 34,811 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 10,455.

So far, the highest number of deaths due to Corona has occurred in Punjab where 13,091 people have lost their lives. While 7,709 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 5,965 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 969 in Islamabad, 187 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 367 in Balochistan, and 749 in Azad Kashmir.

On the other hand, according to Indian officials, the number of corona patients in India has risen to 37.9 million, bringing the total death toll from corona in India to 487,000. The daily death toll from Corona rose to 441, while the number of daily Corona cases exceeded 282,000.
