COVID-19 spike continues in Pakistan with 98 deaths

Latest figures released by the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) shows that 98 deaths and 4,974 cases have been confirmed across Pakistan.

According to reports, the death toll is reported to be 14,532 while the number of people affected from Corona virus is estimated to be 672,931. Meanwhile, the number of active cases is 50,397.

According to reports, 65,274 patients of COVID-19 have recovered since the outbreak. Moreover, the percentage of Corona positivity has also risen to 9.93% as the virus continues to affect people across the country.

According to provincial statistics, the most deaths are being reported in Punjab with estimates of 6,427 deaths and most patients confirmed in Sindh with 265,680 cases.

The NCOC has declared 26 districts as critical meanwhile, the government is urging its citizens to be particular in implementation of COVID-19 SOPs by wearing a mask, maintaining social distance and staying home unless absolutely essential.
