Religious Scholar Shot Injured Within Orangi Police Station Limits


KARACHI, 31 Mar: A religious scholar was injured as a result of firing incident within the Orangi Police Station Limits on Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West Suhai Aziz Talpur, reported that scholar Mufti Salimullah Khan of Salim Academy was shot injured in a firing incident near Al-Noor Marble Factory, which falls in the range of Orangi PS.

During the incident Mufti Salimullah’s wife, a teacher of his seminary and his driver were also with him. SSP said that two assailants opened fire on their vehicle as a result of which Mufti Salimullah was shot by a bullet in his abdomen.

The injured was immediately shifted to Ziauddin hospital Nazimabad for treatment. The said Mufti Sahab ran a seminary known as Salim Academy in the MPR Colony. An FIR of the incident was registered at the Orangi PS.
