COVID-19 spread continues across Pakistan, rise in positivity and deaths

Coronavirus continues to intensify across Pakistan with 126 deaths in the last 24-hours alone. 

According to the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC), an increase in patients and deaths has been recorded during the third wave. The global epidemic has resulted in a rapid spread in Pakistan. The death toll has risen with 126 deaths in the last 24-hours alone.

Meanwhile, the latest statistics released by the NCOC show 3,265 new cases with a positivity percentage of 8.35%. Moreover, 39,101 tests have been conducted across Pakistan.

The total death toll is reported to be 19,336 while the number of affected people has reached 870,691.

According to reports, coronavirus spread has resulted in the NCOC declaring 26 districts as high-risk areas as a country-wide COIVd-19 inoculation drive continues. In its fourth phase, people between the ages of 40 and 49 are being vaccinated while registering for over 30 has begun.

Vaccination centers across the state are closed for two days due to the Eid holidays.
