According to a report by Baaghi TV, Pakistan has decided to make an advance booking for the vaccine against corona virus.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved advance booking of Corona vaccine. Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of National Health, Dr. Noshin Hamid confirmed, and said that the Prime Minister has approved the advance booking of corona vaccine. For corona vaccine advance booking, contacts are ongoing globally, 2 vaccine manufacturers have been contacted for advance booking.
Dr. Noshin Hamid said that she hoped that Pakistan would succeed in booking the corona vaccine in advance. The government is taking steps to ensure timely availability of the vaccine in the country. It was proposed to allocate 100 million for vaccine booking. In the first phase, it was suggested to book vaccines for health workers and vulnerable citizens.
It may be recalled that a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee for Corona was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday in which the epidemic situation was reviewed. In his keynote address to the nation after the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the government has decided not to gather more than 300 people in view of the corona virus. That is why we have ended the meeting on Saturday. The rest of the parties should also end their rallies.
The positive case rate in Pakistan increased by more than 3%, from 1.6% in the first week of October. The rate of positive cases reached 5% in November.
The second wave of Corona virus continues in Pakistan. While there have been 33 deaths from corona in the last 24 hours, 2,050 new patients have emerged.
According to the NCOC, the total number of corona patients in Pakistan has reached 361,082. However, the total number of deaths from corona has reached 7,193. In Pakistan, 324,834 patients have recovered and 2,955 are undergoing treatment.
Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant for Health, said that the second wave of corona virus has gradually started in Pakistan. To deal with the second wave, SOPs will have to be strictly adhered to. By taking precautions we can deal with the second wave of corona.
