According to the NCOC, 374,173 citizens across the country have been affected by the Corona epidemic. The number of active cases reached 36,683, of which 1,653 are in critical condition.

So far 5,180,026 corona tests have been done across the country. The highest number of corona patients is in Sindh province where 162,227 people have fallen victim to the epidemic. In Punjab, 114,010, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 44,097, in Balochistan 16,744 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,526 people are suffering from the disease.

The number of corona cases in Islamabad is 26,569, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 44,097, Sindh 162,227, Punjab 114,010, Balochistan 16,744, Azad Kashmir 6,000 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,526 people have been affected by Corona.

The highest number of deaths due to Corona, occurred in Punjab where 2,848 people lost their lives. 2,816 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 1,325 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 278 in Islamabad, 94 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 161 in Balochistan and 140 in Azad Kashmir.

The second wave of corona virus has started in Pakistan and SOPs will have to be strictly followed to deal with it. According to the NCOC, the corona epidemic is spreading rapidly in 15 cities across the country. Eighty percent of corona cases in Pakistan were reported from eleven major cities.

Provincial governments have been directed to make SOPs and masks mandatory in markets, shopping malls, public transport, restaurants.
