Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Hammad Abid said that action would be taken against those who would not follow the SOPs regarding COVID-19 while driving on roads.

According to the details, Traffic Police Lahore has made a decision to issue challan tickets to motorcyclists, car drivers and passengers for driving without a mask.

According to a spokesman for the traffic police, eight joint teams have been formed to take action against those who do not comply with the COVID-19 SOPs.

According to CTO, all wardens in the city will also implement coronavirus SOPs.

In case more than one person is in the car, everyone will have to wear a mask and if they fail to do so, a challan will be issued. Citizens should cooperate with Lahore Police to control the coronavirus epidemic.

It is believed that the number of patients infected with the COVID-19 has exceeded 80,000 across the country, with over 1,800 people losing their lives.
