Lahore, 8th April: There is a rapid increase in coronavirus patients in Pakistan and the outbreak is taking its toll in Punjab Province.

According to reports submitted by the spokesperson of Primary & Secondary Health Care Department, Corona Monitoring Room, updated on April 8, 1 pm (PST), another 78 cases of coronavirus have been reported from Punjab.

With the addition of new cases, the tally in Punjab has reached up to 2,108, exceeding the toll in other provinces.

695 cases are reported from the Zaireen Centers, 744 people are from Raiwind, 58 prisoners and 744 are the local citizens.

Details of Visitors:

The details of Zaireen is as follow, 220 visitors from DG Khan, 457 from Multan and 18 from Faisalabad are infected with the virus.

Coronavirus: Lockdown in Punjab to tighten and extend

Description of Tablighi Jamaat members at Raiwind Center:

There are 455 confirmed coronavirus patients in Raiwind Center, 10 in Sheikhupura, 3 in Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha 16, Vehari 14, 6 in Rawalpindi, and 10 in Jhelum.

2 cases are found in Nankana, Gujarat 9, Rahim Yar Khan 15, Bhakkar 1, Khushab 4, Rajanpur 1, 31 in Hafizabad, Sialkot 6, Layyah 17, and 8 Tablighi members reported in Bahawalnagar.

Description of patients in general cities:

The spokesperson from Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department informed that are 340 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Lahore.

Nankana 13, Kasur 9, Sheikhupura 1, Rawalpindi 63, Jhelum 30, Attock 1, Gujranwala 39, Sialkot 19, Narwal 6, and 98 confirmed in Gujarat.

In Hafizabad 6, Mandi Bahauddin 15, Multan 4, Vehari 13, Faisalabad 21, Chiniot 8, Rahim Yar Khan 3, and 6 confirmed citizens in Sargodha.

There is 1 confirmed patient in Mianwali, 10 in Khushab, 1 in Bahawalnagar, 9 in Bahawalpur, 3 in Ludharan and  DG Khan each, and 18 each in Layyah and Okara.

 It has been reported that all confirmed patients are kept in isolation wards and patients are being provided full medical care.

 

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has given out a helpline number 1033, to contact in case of detecting coronavirus in the people coming from abroad.
