Lahore, 24th March: A young Pakistani doctor, Dr. Usama Riaz laid his life while fighting against the coronavirus disease in Pakistan.
According to the reports of Baaghi TV, the United States has paid tribute to a Pakistani doctor who was martyred while treating patients with the coronavirus.
US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Alice Wells tweeted on social networking site Twitter, regretting the death of Dr. Usama from COVID-19 in Gilgit, saying that the US is with medical staff fighting against the deadly virus. Dr. Usama Riaz was among those who fought on the frontline against the coronavirus.

Alice Wells added that America stands with all the medical workers in a time of crisis and they salute the medical staff who risked their lives to save others.
Earlier, the funeral prayers of Dr. Usama Shaheed, a national hero who gave his life while caring for the patients of coronavirus, were offered the previous day and hundreds attended the funeral. He was buried with full official protocol.
