Cricket Australia reeks double-standards and hypocrisy

Cricket Australia (CA) on September 9, 2021, canceled the Afghanistan men’s tour of Australia after a ban on women cricket in Afghanistan by the Taliban government.
However, on the other hand, Adelaide Strikers have signed Afghanistan’s star leg-spinner Rashid Khan for the fifth KFC Big Bash League (BBL) season which clearly shows the hypocrisy and double-standards of Cricket Australia (CA).
Media reports suggest that CA has made clear the ban on women’s cricket is unpalatable following the Taliban’s return to power in Kabul this year following the withdrawal of Western forces. However, CA’s position is not expected to stop the involvement of Afghan players in the BBL, with Rashid Khan re-signing for the Adelaide Strikers in the BBL this season.
