Cricketer Shoaib Malik, Actress Sana Javed announce Second Marriage
Pakistan cricket team’s all-rounder Shoaib Malik and actress Sana Javed have reportedly tied the knot. Reports of the couples nuptials surfaced on early Saturday.
On Saturday, Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed shared wedding pictures on their respective social media accounts. On Twitter, Malik wrote ‘Alhamdullilah’ with pictures alongside his new bride. He also quoted a verse from the Qur’an translated “And We created you in pairs”.

It is pertinent to note that this is the couple’s second marriage. Before this, Shoaib Malik was married to Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza for almost thirteen years while Sana Javed was previously married to Pakistani singer Umair Jaiswal. Malik married Sania Mirza in April 2010, and the couple welcomed their son on 30th October 2018. Recently, reports of the couple’s separation surfaced on social media with many quoting ‘differences’ between them. After months of speculation, with no formal confirmation of denial from either side, the rumors continued to spread.

At the time, Shoaib Malik praised his former wife several times however, the two have not seen together for some time. On the other hand, Sania Mirza performed Umrah alongside her son and attended multiple events without Malik. Their lack of public appearances led fans to believe things were tense between them.

Shoaib Malik’s Second Marriage, Family Fails to Attend Event
According to reports, former captain Shoaib Malik’s family has confirmed his divorce from Sania Mirza. However, none of the family attended Malik’s second marriage ceremony. Malik’s family is deeply saddened by the end of his marriage with Sania Mirza. According to a private TV channel, Shoaib Malik’s brother-in-law Imran Zafar said that I also found out about the marriage through social media. No one from the family was involved in the marriage.
Sania Mirza Disapproved Connections with Other Women, Decided on Divorce
Shoaib Malik’s family was not in favor of the divorce from Sania Mirza and were very sad after the divorce. According to reports, Malik’s family asked him to improve the relationship, as things had been going on with Sana Javed for a long time. Sania Mirza reportedly divorced Shoaib Malik because she was not happy with his relationship(s) with other women. Eventually, she got a divorce.

Shoaib Malik will continue to visit his son in Dubai
After the divorce, Malik will continue to meet his son in Dubai. While both parents will bear the expenses of the son. According to reports, Shoaib Malik’s family also went to Dubai when the relationship between Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza first deteriorated. His family stayed in Dubai for two weeks at the end of 2022, during the stay at Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza’s house, efforts were made to improve the couple’s relationship but failed.
