April 20, 2021: In Lahore, the rate of corona has risen to alarming levels. All the ICU wards of Mayo Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital and Nawaz Sharif Hospital are 100 per cent full.
According to a report by BaaghiTV, 250 patients of Corona in Lahore are undergoing treatment on ventilators and about 700 in high oxygen wards. According to a report, the proportion of patients in ICU wards of Lahore hospitals is 89%, 94% in high oxygen units and 45% in low oxygen units. Due to the increase in Corona cases, 100 new ventilators and 300 beds were added in Lahore in one week.
According to Dr. Asad Aslam, Chief Coordinator, Corona Committee for Punjab, the situation is under control. It should be noted that the third wave of corona is continuing in Pakistan, the number of corona patients and deaths is continuously increasing. According to the statistics, the record of corona deaths across the country was broken again today. Another 137 people died in the last 24 hours, the highest number of deaths in a single day since June 2020.
According to the NCOC, 5,445 new cases of Corona were tested yesterday. The rate of positive cases across the country was about 8.00%. The total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan has reached 16,243 while the total number of affected people has reached 761,879.
