Baaghi TV: The anxiety and the wait is over for students, as Provincial Minister for Higher Education Raja Yassir Humayun has announced that matriculation results will be declared in September. The marking of papers will start this week. Practical marks will be allocated on the basis of theory paper marks.
Raja Yassir Humayun said while talking to private channel Dunya News that the checking of papers had been suspended due to corona virus. Permission for checking is expected to be given this week.
He said that 90 days from getting the permission, results will be announced. Students should be calm and not get worried. More than a million students province-wide await their matriculation result.
According to sources 275,000 students in Lahore have given the matriculation papers. There are 27 marking centres in the city. Chairman Lahore Board Riaz Hashmi said that the marking process will begin immediately upon receiving permission, and it will be complete in under 90 days.
Previously the Provincial Health Minister Murad Rass had said that matriculation results will be announced in 90 days and the marking will start from 15th June.
The Provincial Minister for Education clarified a few important points related to the board examinations. He said that the students giving the last chance paper will be given grace marks and passed of required. Those passing the 11th class shall be given 3% extra marks and passed in the 12th class.
