David Warner’s children plead with authorities to let him come home
May 5, 2021: Australian cricketer David Warner has shared a heartbreaking drawing sent by his daughter Ivy, Australian cricketers are stranded in India due to the Corona crisis, suspended amid widespread corona virus outbreak in the IPL. Warner and other Australian cricketers have been stranded in India since then. Indian cricket officials announced the suspension on Tuesday night, saying they would work to provide a safe passage for all IPL participants. But Warner and about 40 Australians in the tournament will have to stay in India until at least May 15 because the government has previously banned them from returning.
Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers’ Association say they will not waive the ban. Warner posted drawing from his daughter on Instagram on Tuesday. The message was also displayed with wife Candice and three daughters: “Please Daddy come home immediately.” We miss you so much and love you.
