ISLAMABAD, 8th April: A renowned news portal, Dawn News has been served a notice by PEMRA on printing false news on their website.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, PEMRA took notice of broadcasting false news of the death of British PM, Boris Johnson yesterday by Dawn News. A notice has been issued to them today.
According to details, PEMRA issued a show-cause notice to Dawn News and ordered to submit a response within seven days.
It may be noted that yesterday Dawn News had published false news of the death of British PM, quoting a fake account on Twitter, which is allegedly associated to BBC News.
Social media users reacted strongly to the news telecasted on Dawn News, firing sarcasm at Dawn News and demanded action from PEMRA.
On the other hand, the health condition of Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been restored and is under observation at the ICU.
A spokesperson for the British Prime Minister said that the PM is now recovering with the help of simple oxygen and can breathe without any support. He no longer needs artificial respiration and his breathing is better.
