The 22nd death anniversary of renowned short story writer and playwright Hameed Kashmiri is being observed on Sunday.
Hameed Kashmiri’s real name was Abdul Hameed and he was born on June 1, 1929 in Murree.
Hameed Kashmiri was a very active writer. He wrote countless short stories, more than fifteen novels and over 50 individual plays.
He wrote plays for radio as well. His radio play, “Emergency Ward”, ran into 16 episodes. He also wrote stage plays.
Hameed Kashmiri died on this day in 2003 in Karachi.
