Decision of Eid will be taken by Ruet-e-Hilal Committee: Noor-ul-Haq

Lahore, 23rd May: On the issue of the Shawwal moon sighting, the most important figure in the government has opposed Fawad Chaudhry.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has come forward with his statement regarding the sighting of moon for the Eid-ul-Fitr.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that the Shariah decision of Eid would be taken by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Karachi today according to which Eid will be celebrated.

Saudi Arabia announces Eid-ul-Fitr

Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri further said that Shariat and religion rely on the sight and the evidence of the moon and the Eid will be decided by the scholars.

It should be noted that the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry in a press conference criticized the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and said that the meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has always been a source of controversy. In the next few years people will be able to celebrate Eid on the moon, the progress of science has made the process of seeing the moon easier.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the moon will be clearly visible through binoculars after sunset today. Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on Sunday. Eid will be celebrated in all Islamic countries of the world tomorrow and in Pakistan too i.e on Sunday, May 24.
