Lahore, 11th June: With the spike in the coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan, the next 24 hours is important as the decision regarding a lockdown in the country will be taken.

According to reports, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Javed Akram has said that if the spread of the virus has to be stopped, a strict curfew should be imposed for 15 days.

Importantly, medical experts have warned that Corona will be a part of our lives in one way or another.

Speaking at a press conference at the University of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Javed Akram said that 4 people are dying every hour in the country due to the coronavirus.

“Our goal is corona pacio immunization, we are testing antibodies for plasma, 5% out of 100 people will have to go to the hospital and they may need a ventilator,” he said. According to statistics, 80% of people who are on ventilators die.

Prof. Javed Akram further said that the common people should not get themselves tested from the laboratories unnecessarily. Only those with symptoms should get themselves tested.

On this occasion, Dr. Tahir Shamsi, a hematologist, said that a patient recovering from corona can donate his plasma after two weeks, after which there is no problem including weakness. Citizens should donate plasma to save patients.
