Decision reserved on Umar Akmal’s appeal against

An independent adjudicator, on Monday, has reserved his decision on cricketer Umar Akmal’s appeal against his three-year ban.

According to the details, former Supreme Court Judge Justice (retd) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar has reserved the verdict after hearing arguments from both the parties in a hearing held at the National High Performance Center.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will not comment further on the matter until Justice (retd) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar delivers the verdict.

It may be recalled that under the PCB Anti-Corruption Code, Umar Akmal was sentenced to three years imprisonment for violating the Code of Conduct at two different times, which was challenged by Umar Akmal.

The hearing of the appeal was scheduled for June 11 but was deferred due to the rising cases of coronavirus in the country.
