Lahore, 9th October: So I recently went to J Block Defence Club in Lahore, where I had Hi-tea. The food was worth the price and the place was clean and well kept.
However, it lacked life. The Club was full of people yet felt empty. People were having tea in the ground outdoors as well while others were playing tennis on the courts, not to mention a big TV screen on the ground.
Despite the club having all the amenities and the crowd, it still felt dead. Perhaps it could’ve been brought to life by a working fountain in the area, live music or even light music played on the grounds through speakers.
To attract the younger generation the club should be full of lights and each area should have its own privacy. The club should introduce offers such as giving out sports cards or discounts on certain days and timings.
The club should host concerts and grand tombolas, gym tournaments, golf tournaments, tennis tournaments as well. The club boasts everything, it has an Italian, Chinese, Moroccan, continental, and desi cuisine. It has a jogging track, play area for children, a gym, halls, and a library.
The only thing it lacks is using all the amenities at their optimal use. I would suggest attracting a younger crowd as well, the club should be more interactive and lively, rather than just a place for the older generation to chill out.
