Delhi, 4th November: The security of Delhi Airport has been tightened after a bomb threat.
According to Indian media, a threatening call has been received to blow up several important places in New Delhi, including the Airport.
According to Indian media, the Khalistani organization has also released a video on Twitter in which Gurpant Singh, who describes himself as the general secretary of ‘Sikhs for Justice’, intercepted Air India’s flight AI111 and AI531 from Delhi to London are under a threat of a bomb blast.
Immediately after this tweet, the anti-terror unit of Delhi Police has become active. CISF and Delhi Police have beefed up security at the airport.
Senior CIPF and Delhi Police officials also held a meeting on airport security. “We have increased the number of packets and all vehicles entering the airport is being searched,” said Rajiv Ranjan, DCP, Delhi Airport. Armed Delhi Policemen in plain clothes are stationed at the airport.
