On August 5 this year, the Government of India violated the United Nations resolutions by abolishing the special status of Indian occupied Kashmir and imposing a curfew which now has reached to its 93rd day.

Indian government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has again violated the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions by releasing the maps of India, a few days back. The new Indian map was released by the Survey General of India on November 2 showing the growth of Modi’s frustration as Kashmir is slipping out of India’s hands.

The new map released by Modi government, was displaying and seeking to depict parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir within the territorial jurisdiction of India.

The act of release of new maps has further exposed the real and brutal face of Modi government and their stance against the Kashmiris. What they don’t understand is that such actions can never change the will of Kashmiris rather it will bring more repulsion.

The Government of Pakistan (GoP) has rejected the news maps saying that these maps are not compatible with the UNSC resolutions. Furthermore, GoP claimed that the maps issued by India were incorrect, legally untenable, void and in complete violation of the relevant UNSC resolutions.

“Such measures by the Government of India cannot prejudice the inalienable right to self-determination of the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” said the Pakistan Foreign Office in their press release.

India is perpetrating atrocities and genocide on the oppressed Kashmiri and Khalistani people, who are valiantly fighting for years to get their right to self-determination. The face of so-called secularism has now been exposed badly.

Earlier today, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Asif Ghafoor nullified the maps issued by the Indian government, in his tweet. DG ISPR, in his tweet, clearly stated that the time is not far when Indian map will get redrawn and only the Kashmiris will draw the actual map of their homeland.
