Fawad Chaudhry defends government on petrol's massive price hike

 

ISLAMABAD, Jun 26 (APP):According to Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad  the digitalization of PTV (Pakistan Television), APP (Associated Press of Pakistan) and Radio Pakistan will begin in August.

While addressing at National Immature Short Film Festival, he said improvements are being made in the ministry of Information and Broadcasting to meet modern challenges.

Pakistan has sacrificed too much in the war against terrorism. Being far behind in technology, we failed to show the world our sacrifices.

He further said that the media was a major platform around the world to raise public voice and opinions. Media has always played an important role in promoting the narrative of the states.

He explained that in today’s world, public opinions are given importance and our heard through media resources. Wars are being fought through narratives and those who deliver properly, win.

Praising the leadership of PM Imran Khan, he said that efforts for “Naya Pakistan” are under process. Khan and his party are accomplishing the promises they made to the nation.

He said he is thankful to PM Khan for recovering abandoned building where now media technology university will be established.

He praised ISPR for creating short films in Pakistan by using modern technology.

Pakistan was on third position in film making during 1970’s. But since then the cinema business has gone into deficit.

The minister promised that various steps are underway to improve the media and film technology situation in the country.
