ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (Online): PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while expressing grave concern over the disappearance of journalist Ali Imran Syed has termed it an attack on freedom of expression.
In a statement issued here Saturday PPP Chairman said the act of gagging voices should now be stopped. The incidents like disappearance of journalists create negative impression of Pakistan in the world. Media is passing through the worst phase of coercion during Imran Khan regime, he remarked.
Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has also said in a statement that if the doubts about disappearance about the journalists are correct then Pakistan has turned into a banana state. Earlier Pakistan is ranked among the most dangerous countries for the journalists in the world.
He warned if Ali Imran Syed is not recovered today then his case will be raised in Senate Human Rights committee.
PPP leader Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari has said media is victim of intense coercion and pressure during PTI rule.
