Disciplinary action will be taken against the staff for not cleaning: Usman Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar while instructing to expedite the cleaning operation after Eid-ul-Adha said that no compromise will be made on cleanliness. Disciplinary action will be taken against the staff upon receipt of the complaint.

According to details, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed to continue the cleaning operation effectively. Usman Buzdar said that the vehicles involved in the clean-up operation should patrol the streets and roads.

The Chief Minister said that the debris should be picked up in time and disposed of properly. All possible resources have been provided for cleaning the cities. Cleanliness will not be compromised.

He said disciplinary action would be taken against the staff if a complaint was received. Pick up debris by contacting the cell set up for urban cleaning.

On the other hand, the Lahore Waste Management Company is continuing its cleaning operation on the second day. Despite heavy rains in Lahore, the clean-up operation continued uninterrupted.

According to the spokesperson of the management company, 16,500 tons of debris was collected yesterday. On the second day of Eid, 3,000 tons of rubbish was collected. Since yesterday, a total of 19,500 tons of debris has been collected.

A spokesman for the waste management company said the clean-up operation would continue until the last straw.
