Tariq Malik, chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), told a briefing of the Senate Standing Committee on Home Affairs that 47 employees had been fired for making fake cards.
A meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Admissions was held in which Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik briefed the committee while Senator Talha Mahmood raised the issue of fake identity cards.
Talha Mahmood said that I have a list of 45 people whose blocked ID cards were blocked, an officer of NADRA blocked their cards and in return, the room was transferred.
He further said that identity cards have been issued to the people of Al-Qaeda and identity cards have also been issued to the accused in the Safura case. Chairman NADRA said that NADRA has been reorganized on the directive of the Prime Minister.
I have received 87 cases of officials making fake cards out of which 47 were dismissed. He said that a letter has also been written to DG ISI regarding fake identity cards and the blocked cards were made through artificial intelligence. He said that NADRA was launching a national verification and renewal drive and would verify the identity cards through artificial intelligence.
