“President Trump contributed significantly to reducing hostilities—not only in Southeast Asia but also in several high-conflict areas across the globe,” Hun Sen stated during a media briefing in Phnom Penh.
This marks yet another international endorsement of Trump’s candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize. Pakistan had earlier recommended Trump for the honor, citing his influence in facilitating a ceasefire along the Pakistan-India Line of Control. Last month, Israel also submitted a nomination in recognition of his role in promoting diplomatic normalization in the Middle East.
