Door to door vaccination campaign to be launched in Punjab

Oct 22, 2021: To meet the vaccination targets, the Punjab government has announced that it will launch a door-to-door corona virus vaccination campaign from October 25.

According to a notification issued by the provincial government, the campaign launched by the Punjab government will continue till November 12, adding that it will vaccinate people at home in its nine divisions and 36 districts.

According to a government notification, the campaign aims to ensure that 100 per cent of the targeted people are vaccinated. The campaign also has a focal person to ensure it achieves its goals.

The Punjab government has decided to vaccinate those who have not yet received a job at home, while reports indicate that many have not.

A day earlier, Asad Omar, head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), called on some city officials to improve vaccination efforts. On Twitter, Omar praised the progress of vaccination in Islamabad, Peshawar, Gilgit, Sargodha and other cities.

The Federal Minister, however, stressed the need to improve the vaccination process in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nowshera, Faisalabad, Quetta, Mardan and other cities. “To ensure that there is no fifth wave of COD-19, we need to meet vaccination targets,” he added.

The Federal Minister for Planning had said that despite the rapid decline in new COVID-19 cases, we would remain weak if people did not get vaccinated in large numbers.

Urging the public to vaccinate themselves against COVID-19, the minister said, “Remember that other foods are very important for protection against COVID.”
