Dr. Farid Ahmed Paracha’s Response to Application for Establishment of “Gay Club”
Jamaat-e-Islami central leader, Dr. Farid Ahmed Paracha, has come forward with his opinion concerning the reports of an application being submitted to DC Abbottabad for the opening of a ‘gay club’ in the city situated in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province.
The central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Farid Ahmed Paracha, while talking to Baaghi TV, said that it is very shameful for the nation. It was because of these actions that Allah overturned settlements, rained stones, and punished the people of Hazrat Lut (PBUH). As a society now have we fallen to the point where people are asking for permission to set up homosexual clubs? This is not the only thing that some people are concerned about. When the Transgender Act came, it was said by Jamaat-e-Islami that it is a global agenda and our society is moving toward destruction. Instead of taking steps towards fixing the economy, and abolishing usury, we are taking the path of begging from the IMF, so this atheism and godlessness are part of it, they want us to adopt their methods and await the wrath of Allah.

Dr. Paracha said that it was necessary that as soon as the request came to the DC, such people should have been arrested, they should have been booked for terrorism and they should have been put in jail. The government should do a complete investigation. The scholars will not allow such work to take root in the society. The media should also play a role in this regard, everyone will have to play a role to end this evil. There is a PTI government in KP, that had raised the slogans of Riayasat-e-Madina, now they should play a role in this regard. Those who are responsible for it should be taught a lesson.

It is pertinent to mention that the application seeking the establishment of a ‘gay club’ in Abbottabad was submitted by Pritam Giani to the DC office on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Giani’s application aims to obtain an NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the opening of this ‘Gay Club’ in the city. Giani, who identified himself as a resident of the Gulistan Colony, in Abbottabad, hopes to name the club ‘Lorenzo Gay Club’.

In the application, the applicant assured that a formal warning would be displayed on the walls of the club cautioning visitors against engaging in explicit activities such as sexual intercourse within the club premises although allowing them to engage in kissing or other such activities. The club will be open to gay and non-gay people, with more facilities available to the members. Giani has argued the club will be a great practical convenience and resource for gay people in Abbottabad, and across the country.
