Dr Firdous Ashiq withdraws resignation from her post
Lahore, 20th July: Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information said that she will withdraw the resignation submitted on Monday to leave her office.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Tuesday that she will take back her resignation which she submitted yesterday to leave her office to run PTI’s by-election campaign in Sialkot.
Now she will withdraw her resignation on the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Dr. Awan addressed a press conference on Monday and said that the premier has stopped her from resigning from her office and has asked her to continue work to highlight the achievements of the Punjab government.
However, sources in the chief minister’s houses have claimed that CM Buzdar is not comfortable with Dr. Ashiq Awan’s appointment as his information secretary, hence, he wants her to resign.

Sources have also revealed that Dr. Firdous was observed bypassing the CM in making announcements which CM Usman Buzdar wanted to announce himself.
Addressing the press conference at DGPR offices yesterday, Firdous Ashiq disclosed that by-elections in Sialkot and Azad Kashmir were held in her constituency, and Election Commission was sending notices to her.
She added, “I had urged the premier and chief minister to relieve me from my office post so that I can launch PTI’s election campaign to break PML-N’s hold in the constituency.”
