Raj Kundra Sent to Police Custody in Pornography Case

Indian Businessman Raj Kundra was arrested on Monday by the Mumbai Crime Branch’s property cell for making pornographic films and broadcasting them through some applications.

According to the details, Raj Kundra, an Indian businessman and husband of the Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has been arrested and remanded in police custody till July 23, 2021 after being accused of making pornography films.

The British-Indian businessman was produced before the court today in this case after his arrest on Monday night after being booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act.

“There was a case registered with the Crime Branch Mumbai in Feb 2021 about creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidences regarding this,” said the Mumbai Police Commissioner.

Earlier, actress and model Poonam Pandey had filed a petition in the Mumbai High Court against her partner, including Raj Kundra, alleging that her videos had been used illegally due to the termination of a contract.
