Drama ‘Zebaish’, a treat or a disaster?

Lahore, 26th June: Pakistani drama ‘Zebaish’ starring major artists of the showbiz industry is the most awaited dramas of the season.

According to a report by Baaghi TV, Pakistani drama ‘Zebaish’ aired on every Friday on Hum TV, promised to be one of the hit series of the year 2020 with the heavy star cast, written by one of the renowned actresses Bushra Ansari and directed by Iqbal Hussain.

The drama features Bushra Ansari, Iqbal Hussain, Asma Abbas, Zara Noor Abbas, Asad Siddiqui, Shabbir Jan, and Babar Ali in prominent roles.

The public was waiting for the star-studded drama to start and the trailers gave a boost to everyone’s excitement as well. But to everyone’s disappointment, the drama didn’t come up to the expectations and failed to impress most of the people.

Three episodes of the drama have been aired so far and people have seen two funerals at the start of the drama, Bushra Ansari with an unhappy husband and Zara Noor Abbas portrays a favorite daughter of a courtesan.

To people’s dismay, the drama has failed to impress much, people are not happy with the overall performances of their favorite stars. Whether it is the senior actress Bushra Ansari or everyone’s much loved actress Zara Noor Abbas, the performances carried out by them are considered to be over the top.

Bushra Ansari’s overall look in the character is much too booming and Zara is redoing her character which she portrayed in her previous drama ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’ or the one she played in the movie ‘Paray Hutt Love’.

People have shown their dislike for this drama so far, and even after the third episode, it has failed to gather attention. The drama which people were looking forward to after a long period of lockdown and sitting at home, has indeed yet to showcase its worth.
