LAHORE (19th February, 2024): The Dutch Hockey Club and HEC Pakistan team are set to contend in a match today, in Lahore.
The match is set to start at 12:30 P.M. at the National Hockey Stadium. The first match of the three-match series has been named after the martyrs of the Punjab Police. The 21-member Dutch hockey club, which arrived in Lahore on Sunday morning, practiced for an hour at the National Hockey Stadium.

The players finalized their preparations by running and doing various drills. Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana and Holland Embassy staff also witnessed the training.
Atif Rana also unveiled the trophy along with Holland Embassy staff and captains. On this occasion, Atif Rana said that Lahore Qalandars are trying to increase the positive image of Pakistan in hockey along with cricket. Dutch Hockey Club will also come to watch the Lahore Qalandars match at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.

It is worth mentioning that European hockey players are visiting Pakistan after a gap of nearly twenty-two years. Hailed as a historic visit, the players are in Pakistan at the invitation of the Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy. The first two matches of the three-match series will be played in Lahore on the 19th and 21st of February, meanwhile, the third match is scheduled to be played in Islamabad, on the 23rd of February.
