Baaghi TV has learnt that WhatsApp has restored it e-currency services for the users.
According to reports, WhatsApp introduced a new feature by the name ‘Ground Breaking’ in June last year, which allows the users to send money to loved ones and friends. The app allowed small businesses in Brazil to transact through WhatsApp, however, the feature was suspended days after its introduction.
According to reports, the feature has managed to gain momentum with users due to which, WhatsApp has re-introduced the feature. Moreover, although it was initially available in Brazil, WhatsApp administration has decided to introduce it to other countries as well.
It should be noted that Apple has a similar service, but it is only usable between Apple devices, while WhatsApp’s service is more easily accessible as it available to both Android and iPhone users.
According to reports, the company issued a statement saying, “We’re also enabling small businesses to sell on WhatsApp”. They added that they hope to work alongside Facebook to ensure secure and permanent ways of payment through the app.
