Earthquake shakes Swat once again, people terrified

Swat: For the second time in 24 hours, tremors were felt in and around the Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Due to the continuous earthquakes, the local people are suffering from severe fear.
According to the Geological Survey, the magnitude of the quake was reported to be 4.5 on the Richter scale. The quake had a depth of 120 km and its epicenter was in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
According to reports, the Earthquake forces the locals to come out of their offices and homes in the bitter cold, reciting the Kalima Tayyaba and Astaghfar. The quake, which struck for the second day in a row, has caused great fear among the people. Earthquake tremors were also felt in the area yesterday. Surprisingly, the magnitude and location of the earthquake were the same.

It may be recalled that in December last year, there was an earthquake in Karachi. The severity of which was recorded as 4.1 on the rector scale. Geologists called it ‘dangerous’. Meanwhile, Director Meteorological Department Zahid Rafi had said that the earthquake in Karachi was not as severe as it has been seen in the past. The depth of the quake was 15 to 20 kilometers which is not considered to be too severe.
