Ease in smart lockdown restrictions in Punjab
Lahore: The smart lockdown imposed by the Punjab government across the province has been relaxed from starting today. Markets and shops can now remain open till 10 pm.
According to a statement issued by the Punjab government, the markets of the province will now be open till 10 pm and will remain closed only on Sundays. Stores and the like can remain open on Saturdays.
The statement said that restaurants have been allowed to indoor dining with 50% capacity full with vaccinated persons only till 12 at night. Outdoor dining will also be allowed till 12 midnight.
On the other hand, after the easing of smart lockdown, the shrines of the province have also been opened.
It is to be noted that a few weeks ago, the Punjab government imposed a smart lockdown for five major cities Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Multan, and Sargodha. Markets could only remain open at 8 pm at night and were to remain closed on both Saturday and Sunday.
