Educational activities resumed in different cities of Pakistan from today

May 24, 2021:  BaaghiTV: Educational activities have been resumed in different cities of Pakistan from today, however, educational institutions in Sindh including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi are still closed.

Schools in 16 districts of Punjab including Bahawalnagar, Kasur, Chakwal have resumed from today. In Sialkot, Vehari educational activities have also resumed.

Educational institutions opened in 21 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Mohmand, Khyber, Shangla, Bajaur, Malakand, Chitral Lower and Chitral Upper, Mansehra, Batgram, Kohistan Upper, Kohistan Lower. Schools were also opened in Karak, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, North and South Waziristan, DI Khan and Tank. On the other hand, the most important meeting of inter-provincial education ministers has been convened to consider the closure of educational institutions. The meeting will be attended by the education ministers of the four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

The meeting is also expected to decide on summer vacations in educational institutions including the final decision regarding examinations. The meeting chaired by Shafqat Mahmood will also discuss the issue of vaccination of teachers and staff.
