Lahore, 18th November: Educational institutes are likely to be closed from next week.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, the government of Punjab has issued orders about the closure of the educational institutes across the province keeping in view the rising cases of coronavirus.

With the increasing coronavirus cases reported in educational institutions, parents are much concerned and are urging for the early closure of schools for winter holidays.

According to reports pouring in, the government is likely to issue orders to close the schools in Punjab from 24th of November. It is speculated that the schools will remain close for 5 weeks amid the second wave of COVID-19.

A letter has been issued to all CEOs of Punjab Education and orders are sent out to give a homework of one month in schools in view of winter holidays.

They are ordered to submit the required homework schedule for the students in the meeting that will be held on the 20th of November 2020.

 

The Department of School Education has convened a meeting of CEOs of 36 districts across the province. The meeting will consider the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic and the issue of early winter vacations.

The meeting will be held at Quaid-e-Azam Academy and Development Education Wahdat Road. Secretary Schools Education will also participate in the meeting.
